This is a FT M-F position. This can be a remote position

Essential Functions:

• Abstracts pertinent information from patient records
• Queries physicians when code assignments are not straightforward or documentation in the record is inadequate or unclear for coding purposes
• Keeps abreast of coding guidelines and reimbursement reporting requirements
• Abides by the Standards of Ethical Coding as set forth by the AHIMA

Requirements:

• Two years work-related coding experience
• Certification by the American Health Information Management Association of America Association Professional Coders
